This recognition means a great deal to us. Oceanpick was the only aquaculture company to receive an Export Development Board award this year.

The Presidential Export Awards are organised annually by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board and reflect a rigorous national evaluation process.

Over 100 passionate volunteers collected plastic, fishing gear, and other waste—protecting marine life and inspiring future ocean guardians. 🌍✨

Together with local partners, we’re driving a Plastic-Free Cod-Bay vision—because every piece of plastic removed today creates space for marine life tomorrow. 🐟♻️

A free health camp was conducted on 14th September 2025 at the Oceanpick farm location in Cod Bay, especially dedicated to the fishing community in the area. The initiative aimed to promote the health and well-being of local fishermen and their families by providing them with access to much-needed medical services.

The camp included general health check-ups, consultations, and preventive care awareness sessions. Over 60 participants from the community attended and benefitted from the services provided.

This initiative highlights Oceanpick’s commitment to supporting the surrounding communities while promoting preventive healthcare and social welfare. Our aim has always been to uplift the welfare of the fishing community in the areas surrounding our farms, as they are quintessential to maintaining the overall balance of our ecosystem.

His Excellency’s visit was a momentous occasion for our team, as we had the privilege of showcasing our oceanic barramundi operations, sustainability initiatives, and future aspirations. The High Commissioner’s keen interest in local innovation and his thoughtful engagement were truly inspiring.
