අපට ජීවිතයේ ගත හැකි ලොකුම වික්‍රමය නම්, අප අප වෙනුවෙන් සහ මේ ලෝකය වෙනුවෙන් අපගේ වගකීම සැබැවින්ම තේරුම්ගෙන, නිශ්ඵල දේවල් වෙනුවෙන් අපගේ වටිනා ජීවිත කාලය නාස්ති නොකර, අපගේ සිහින වල ජීවිතය ජය ගැනීම වෙනුවෙන් කාර්යක්ෂමව කැප වී වැඩ කිරීමයි.

The greatest adventure we can take in life is to truly understand our responsibility to ourselves and to this world, to not waste our precious life time on useless things, and to work efficiently and dedicatedly to achieving the life of our dreams.

"ජීවිතය යනු ඔබට සිදුවන දෙයින් 10% ක් වන අතර ඔබ එයට ප්‍රතිචාර දක්වන ආකාරය 90% කි" යන මෙම උපුටා දැක්වීම ඔබේ අභ්‍යන්තර ප්‍රතිචාරය ඔබේ බාහිර තත්වයන්ට වඩා වැදගත් බව බලවත් මතක් කිරීමකි. ජීවිතයේ බොහෝ සිදුවීම් ඔබට පාලනය කළ නොහැකි වුවද, ඔබේ ආකල්පය, ඔබේ අර්ථ නිරූපණය සහ ඔබේ ක්‍රියාවන් පාලනය කළ හැකි බව එයින් යෝජනා කෙරේ.

අන් කෙනාට වදයක් වන තරමටම ඕනෑවට වඩා සොයා බලන්නේ තමා තුළම ඇති හීනමානය සහ බය නිසයි. විශ්වාසය නිරායාසයෙන්ම, සම්බන්ධතාවය වර්ධනය වනවාත් සමඟ වර්ධනය විය යුතුයි. විශ්වාසය රැක ගැනීම සඳහා ප්‍රඥාවන්තව කටයුතු කළ යුතුයි.

It is because of one's own inferiority and fear that one searches too much to the point of being annoying to the other person. Trust should grow naturally, as the relationship develops. One must act wisely to maintain trust.

අද මෙන්ම මාගේ ළමා කාලයේදිත් මම, ආගම දහමට මෙන්ම කලාවටත් විශාල ලැදියාවක් දැක්වුවා. කුඩා කල පාසලේ එක්තරා ගුරුවරියකගෙන් මට වූ යම් අසාධාරණයක් හේතුවෙන් මගේ දෙමව්පියන්ගේ සිත රිදුනු නිසා, ඒ වෙනුවට දෙමව්පියන්ව සතුටු කිරීමේ අරමුණින්, වයස අවුරුදු 19 වීමටත් පෙර මා, කලා ගාන්ධර්ව විෂයයන්ගෙන් අවසානය විභාගය දක්වා සම්පූර්ණ කර, වයස අවුරුදු 19 දී එවකට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ලාබාලතම කලායතනාධිපතිනිය වෙමින් මගේම පළමු ආයතනය ‘නිරංගා කලායතනය’ / “Niranga Academy of Arts” ලෙස බිහිකළා. ඊයේ දිනයේදී මම One Galle Face එකට ගිය අවස්ථාවේ දී ආදරණීය කටහඬකින් මාව අමතමින් මා වෙත දිව ආවේ එවකට මගේ ආයතනයෙහි අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබූ ආදරණීය ශිෂ්‍යාවක්. විදේශගතව ජීවත් වෙමින් නිවාඩුවකට ලංකාවට පැමිණ සිටින ඇය මෙසේ මුණගැසීම තුළ ගුරුවරියක් ලෙසින් මා අසීමිත ආදරයක් ලැබූ ඒ සුන්දර අතීතය නැවත මතක් වුණා.

සමු ගැනීමට පෙර චූටි කිස් එකක් ලැබුණා. බුද්ධ දර්ශනයේ තුළින් මා දැනගත් පරිදි මේ ලෝකයේ හිමි වන අහිමිවන ඕනෑම දෙයක් දෙස උපේක්ෂාවෙන් බැලීමටත් ඒවාට නොසැලී සිටීමටත් සිත පුහුණු කරමින් සිටින මට දුකක් දැනුනේ නැහැ
