The Royal Catarrh medical treatment commenced at wanamandawa temple is more than 200 years old. Later on in 1959 the main medical institute was established in the historical village of Puskoladeniya . in the year 1983 another longstanding medicinal conservation and development plant project was started. the ayurvedic medicine production institute of wanamandawe came into existance in 1989 in collaboration with Gampaha siddayurvedic clinical therapy, introducing a modern therapeutic medicinal plantation culture.
