An NGO dedicated to work with Children, Families & Communities for their development and wellbeing.

"Good Neighbors Sri Lanka (GNSL), a member of Good Neighbors International, has been serving vulnerable communities since 2008. As of 2025, GNSL proudly operates across all 25 districts of Sri Lanka, achieving national coverage through its development and humanitarian programs. This marks a major milestone in GNSL’s commitment to building a better future through sustainable, community-led development. GNSL addresses the root causes of poverty and inequality by focusing on education, child protection, health and nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), economic empowerment, and emergency response. Programs are designed with local needs in mind, ensuring lasting impact and community ownership. Through its Child Sponsorship Program, GNSL provides educational and psychosocial support to underprivileged children and their families. Health programs include mobile clinics, first-aid training, and menstrual hygiene support, while nutrition efforts target malnourished children and pregnant women. WASH projects improve sanitation facilities and promote hygiene behavior, especially in drought-prone and estate communities. Economic empowerment programs offer skills training, start-up support, and entrepreneurship guidance for women and youth. Women's groups strengthen resilience and leadership, with GBV prevention integrated into activities. GNSL responds to natural disasters with relief and preparedness training. Youth clubs promote civic responsibility, leadership, and creativity. Strong partnerships with communities, local authorities, and global donors drive sustainability. Founded in Korea in 1991, 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀 is an international 𝗡𝗚𝗢 with General Consultative Status at the . Today, we work across 𝟱𝟬+ 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, building where no one is left behind.

Since the aftermath of the , we’ve been walking alongside Sri Lankan communities. Officially registered in 2005, our first projects began in 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 under the 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 Humanitarian Assistance Programme.

In March 2025, Good Neighbors Sri Lanka launched a 𝟰-𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘀𝘄𝗲𝘄𝗮 to empower school leavers and youth pursuing higher education with practical and theoretical knowledge. 💻📚✨

The program bridges gaps by offering 3 days of ICT training and 1 day of English language improvement each week, addressing the lack of access to structured learning opportunities in the area.

Guided by experienced instructors, the initiative has benefited 38 students — 23 in the computer program and 15 in the English program — while also providing lunch, snacks, and space for recreational activities like carrom and dam to foster a friendly learning environment.

The journey culminated in a certificate awarding ceremony on 7th August 2025, celebrating the dedication and of our participants.
