Wing Commander Nirmal Siyambalapitiya , the pilot of the Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter, has died in the crash that occurred during disaster relief and rescue operations in Wennappuwa.

A brave officer who served with courage and selflessness until his final moment.
Sri Lanka mourns a true hero. REST IN PEACE HERO !
