இலங்கையின் அண்மைய வரலாற்றில் மிக மோசமான இயற்கை பேரழிவுகளில் ஒன்றான 'தித்வா' சூறாவளியால் ஏற்பட்ட பெரும் சேதத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து நாட்டை மீண்டும் கட்டியெழுப்புவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்ட ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ நிதியத்தை நிறுவுவதற்கு அமைச்சரவையும் அங்கீகாரம் அளித்துள்ளது.
