PROFILE OF HON. Togar Alexander Bealded
Born and raised in Buchanan to the Union of Mr. Moses Bealded now 76 and Martha Reeves who predeceased him.
Bealded started his early education in Buchanan passing through the walls of OBSS, Catholic Tutorial, WPL Brusmkine amongst others.
He is a former lecturer at the Grand Bassa Community College now Grand BASSA University, a former broadcaster of Magic FM, Radio Liberia International sub branch in the loop, Radio Gbezohn amongst others. As a lecturer GBU at the time he requested not to be paid and taught free for over a year because he love his county. He also provided all doors at GBU bathrooms and recently provided headphones for the university radio.
Bealded sold kerosine in the streets of Bassa, played soccer for several teams in Bassa and had his Church sponsored him in school for services he rendered there including selling Medicine in his mom’s drugstore In Buchanan etc.
In 2014 Bealded moved back to Buchanan full time and worked for the Buchanan Ebola Treatment Unit. He took the decision to come and help to eradicate Ebola after a family died in a car around Open Bible Junction while enroute to hospital, that for him was a devastating move and he thought it was time to act. While at the Buchanan ETU and second to a South African National, he helped to employ many citizens and gave hope to many grieving families.
He’s an advocate for social Justice, calling for job opportunities for many, scholarship opportunities for students and uses of the Bassa County Social Development Funds to be used for the well being of all. Electricity provision to all, education and health revitalization, empowerment of women, youths disabled and disadvantaged individuals and peace and reconciliation remain core on his agenda.
He’s a graduate of United Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with emphasis in English. He graduated with honors and in 2005 Bealded scored the highest, 100% in English at WAEC, first of its kind in the history of WAEC nationwide bringing pride to students of Grand Bassa County. That’s why in the last two WASSCE in Bassa between 2021 and 2022 he provided hot meals to students as well as bags of rice and direct cash for camps in preparation for WASSCE.
He’s a candidate for Master’s of Science; MSc in International Relations, Strategy and Security (Distance Learning) at Neapolis University in Cyprus, Easten Europe and Asia.
He has worked for several top rated local and international organizations: International Organization for Migration, Internews a USAID project, Bridge International, LIBTELCO and today he runs his own company, Blitz Group of Companies involved with media consultancy, mining, Political branding and marketing amongst others.
In Buchanan City, Bealded is constructing the first ever Muslim or Islamic High School, he runs the BUILD VOCATIONAL SCHOOL (tailoring, soap making, driving, auto mechanic, cosmetology or hair making etc) that runs free of charge to the public and is expected to launch a two million Liberian Dollars scholarship program next academic school year.
He’s married to Mrs. Joevee Bealded and the family is blessed with 3 kids.
