Our team at Refuge Place International-Liberia comes together at the beginning of every year from all parts of Liberia. This important gathering gives us the opportunity to plan our operations and activities, share lessons learned, celebrate successes, and reflect on what didn’t go as planned. It’s a time to strengthen our teamwork, align our vision, and ensure that every project we undertake is impactful and sustainable.

During these sessions, we exchange ideas, inspire one another, and set clear goals for the year ahead, so we can continue to make a real difference in the communities we serve.

At Refuge Place, we are accessible, affordable, and available, committed to providing essential services, supporting those in need, and building a healthier, stronger Liberia.

Together, our team is ready to take on the year with renewed focus, dedication, and heart.

Our team at Refuge Place International-Liberia celebrated Christmas in Valenga, B**g County, at one of our new clinics in rural B**g County. The day was filled with laughter, joy, and festive spirit as our children came together to enjoy the holiday. Our beloved Chairlady joined in the celebration, sharing love, encouragement, and heartfelt moments with the kids.

It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of community, hope, and giving back, especially to the youngest members of our society. Celebrating Christmas at our clinic not only brought joy to the children but also strengthened our team’s commitment to serving and uplifting the communities we work in.

Our team at Refuge Place International-Liberia celebrated with the children of Artington Backbush, Montserrado County our second site and soon-to-be our 6th clinic, which will be dedicated in February this year.

This clinic began a few years ago after the heartbreaking loss of a young woman who died during childbirth due to the absence of a nearby clinic for several hours. From that tragedy, a vision was born to bring life-saving care closer to the community.

We have already built a hand pump, and we are now working closely with local women and men to complete the clinic. This celebration reminded us of the importance of hope, unity, and our ongoing commitment to saving lives

Refuge Place International-Liberia is demonstrating that accessible functional Primary Health care Services can be provoded in the remoted villages. We have just completed the 5th handpump next to our 5th clinic under construction in a remote part of Liberia. Here people used a single tree to get cell phone network and our team uses motorbike to visit there as the roads are impassable. These are community-led through co-creation with them.
