Liberia is currently hosting a two-day High-Level Meeting on Preventive Ebola Vaccination for Healthcare and Frontline Workers in At-Risk Countries under the theme “Prepare Today, Protect Tomorrow”. The meeting brings together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization, the National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG), the East, Central, and Southern African Health Community (ECSA-HC), and partners from 12 African countries.
The objective is to mobilize high-level political commitment and foster regional collaboration to strengthen global health security by accelerating the preventive vaccination of healthcare and frontline workers against Ebola.
The meeting is supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance .

The malaria vaccine is now being rolled out to 9 additional counties, reaching more children between 5 to 15 months old.
