One of frequently asked questions;

1. WHY can't I just forget about what happened?

4.Consistently giving life to something half-dead
5.How to control the response not the past

FORGETTING - is not how the brain heals because when something painful happens, the brain stores it strongly especially the emotional part. The amygdala (emotion center) and hippocampus (memory center) work together to stamp it.

Its like the brain tells you that this hurt you,do not forget it and be alert it might happen again!
N.B. The goal is not to forget but is learning how to remember without reliving the pain!!

A TRIGGER -happens when something in the present reminds your brain of past pain.

The brain doesn’t always know the difference between Something that is HAPPENING NOW OR SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED BEFORE.

It relies on the information you gather and makes sense out it😅

YOUR INTERPRETATION matters a lot, more than you can think!
Have you ever asked yourself why two people can go through same event and feel differently about the details of it❓

It is because interpretation is NOT ONLY about what happened but IT ALSO ABOUT the meaning you give to what happened!
