1. MCH NURSES (3)
The MCH Nurse will implement clinical Nursing activities in meeting all RMNCH and PMTCT requirements of the comprehensive quality clinical services. The MCH Nurse will provide Essential care package for pregnant women at MCH Level. The positions are based in Motebang Hospital, Berea Hospital and Thamae Health Centre.

Key Performance Areas:
- Clinical Services
- Support and Mentorship to MCH staff
- Data quality management

Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in General Nursing
- Diploma in Midwifery or related causes
- Registration with Lesotho nursing Council as a Nurse Midwife

- Prior clinical work experience in providing MCH/PMTCT will be an added advantage

2. COUNTRY FINANCE OFFICER (1)

The Country Finance Officer is responsible for the recording and reconciliation of all financial transactional data of the Country Office including review and code financial information; prepare and
process documents to disburse funds, make deposits; compile and review information for accuracy; and maintain records. The Country Finance Officer reports directly to the Country Finance Manager and works closely with the Accounts and Administrative Assistant to ensure System and Support Services are effective and provides direct support to the Country Finance Manager, Country Director and other Country office employees.

Key Performance Areas:
- Procurement
- Revenue/Income, Debtor, staff account and cash book management
- Bank, petty cash and GL Reconciliation Payroll Processing\Assets
- Month-end and Year-end close activities
- Fleet Management
- Line Management

Qualifications and Experience:
- Recognized Accounting/Business diploma or degree
- At least 5 years' work experience in a related role,
preferably 2 years' experience in an NGO environment.

3. HR OFFICER (1)

The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is responsible for supporting m2m's work in Lesotho by providing coaching and guidance on HR related business matters including employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, recruitment, HR policy and procedure interpretation and employment law practices. This position is based in Maseru, Lesotho and reports to the Country Director, with support from the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), based at m2m's South Africa head office.

Key Performance Areas:
- General HR Operations issues HR Compliance
- Recruitment, Remuneration and Benefits
- Performance management, Talent management and Wellness management
- Systems and HR processing

Qualifications and Experience:
- Higher diploma in HR Management/ A Bachelor's degree is advantageous preferably in Human Resources Management (HRM) or related field
- 3-4 years relevant experience asa human resources generalist in Lesotho; preferably 2 years' experience in an NGO environment
- Experience in recruitment and selection, performance management processes and methodologies, employee relations and team development
- Knowledge of employee benefits, reward management and labour law in Lesotho

NEW SANC REGISTRAR AND CEO APPOINTED

The South African Nursing Council (SANC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof Ntombifikile Mtshali as the Registrar and CEO of the South African Nursing Council, by the Honorable Minister of Health Dr MJ Phaahla, in terms of Section 18(1) and (3) of the Nursing Act, 2005 (Act No. 33 of 2005) with effect from 01 March 2023.

Professor Mtshali is a recognised Nurse leader, academic and researcher. She holds a PhD from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and brings extensive leadership experience in higher education to the table.

Prior to the current position she served as the Head of the Nursing Department at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Director of the World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre (WHOCC) for Nursing and Midwifery at UKZN, Dean of Teaching and Learning in the College of Health at UKZN, Senior Manager Education and Training at the SANC, Lecturer and Associate Professor at UKZN. She served as the ICAP at Columbia University Nursing Education Partnership Initiative (NEPI) Manager in South Africa. During this period, she was seconded to the office of the Chief Nursing Officer in the National Department of Health, to provide technical support to public nursing colleges (PNC) that served as a pilot sites for the integration of PNC to higher education initiative. This initiative included developing and pilot-testing the country’s first National Policy on Nursing Education and Training.

In support of the WHO agenda Prof Mtshali provided technical support to Nursing Education Institutions in Congo Brazzaville, DRC, Eritrea, Lesotho, Rwanda, Seychelles, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Rwanda and Tanzania in developing and implementing competency-based curricula, and in building the capacity of Nurses educators as a visiting professor.

The South African Nursing Council welcomes Prof Mtshali and wishes her every success in her new tenure.
