This morning, the National NCDI Coordinating Mechanism wrapped up 2025 with a warm breakfast and even warmer conversations about the health of Bahlabani ba Lesotho — YOU, the young people shaping the nation’s future.🔥
Representatives from Ministries of Finance, Health, Youth Sports & Recreation, Agriculture, Trade, Industry, Private Sector, NGOs and our amazing sponsors all came through. One vibe, one purpose: protect Lesotho from the growing wave of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

💥 So, What’s Going On With NCDs in Lesotho?
A situational analysis presented today by the NCDI Secretariat showed that NCDs—like diabetes, cancers, hypertension, heart disease, chronic lung illnesses, and mental health disorders—are silently taking away some of our strongest members of our communities too early, our friends and loved ones, and costing the country valuable years of productivity (yup, DALYs are real 🙃).
But here’s the GOOD news: most NCDs are preventable through the choices we make every single day.
And THIS is the message every young Mosotho needs to hear loud and clear.
