🌍 Polish–Lithuanian cooperation for the environment – "EcoCamp" project completed!

Key results include:
♻️ new environmental equipment (mobile waste pump for marinas, air-quality monitoring drone),
🌱 eco-festivals in Poland and Lithuania,
⛵ international youth EcoCamps on land and water.

✅ The project strengthened environmental awareness, youth cooperation, and long-term Polish–Lithuanian partnerships.

Though the project ends, its impact on people and nature continues. 💚

🤝 Strengthening cross-border connectivity: road infrastructure upgrades are underway within the "CONNECTIVITY ACROSS LITHUANIAN – POLISH BORDER" project.

Reconstruction works include key local and regional roads, improving accessibility, traffic safety, and regional integration in a strategically important border area.

🛣️ These improvements support not only daily mobility but also long-term cross-border cooperation and security.

Kartu su partneriais stipriname Lietuvos–Lenkijos pasienio jungtis 🤝

Efektyvus projektų valdymas įgyvendinant Interreg VI-A Lietuvos–Lenkijos programos projektą (Interreg Lithuania-Poland Programme) „Lietuvos–Lenkijos pasienio jungtys“ leido sutaupyti 891,9 tūkst. eurų.

Kartu su projekto partneriais – Seinų apskritimi, Seinų valsčiumi ir Lazdijų rajono savivaldybe – kreipėmės į Interreg VI-A Lietuvos–Lenkijos programos institucijas, prašydami leisti visų partnerių sutaupytas lėšas, apie 3 mln. eurų, panaudoti papildomai strateginei infrastruktūrai tvarkyti.

Šiuo metu remontuojame kelią Kapčiamiestis–Kauknoris (Nr. 2505), o gavus pritarimą, sutvarkytume valstybinės reikšmės rajoninio kelio Lazdijai–Galiniai (Nr. 2511) ruožą nuo pradžios iki 1,5 km .

Ką planuojame:
🔵 sutvarkyti kelio Nr. 2511 Lazdijai–Galiniai 1,51 km ruožą;
🔵 atnaujinti pralaidas, tiltą per kanalą (apie 12,8 m), daugiau nei 70 nuovažų;
🔵 sutvarkyti įvažiavimus ir įdiegti eismo saugos sprendinius.

Kodėl tai svarbu:
🔵 kelias įvardytas Lietuvos ir Lenkijos ministrų memorandume kaip strategiškai svarbus;
🔵 jungia nacionalinius ir regioninius tinklus;
🔵 yra ypatingos reikšmės Suvalkų koridoriaus regione – svarbus dvišaliam bendradarbiavimui ir kariniam mobilumui.

Esame pasiruošę reikalingus dokumentus, todėl gavę pritarimą, darbus pradėtume nedelsiant.

Jei Interreg VI-A Lietuvos–Lenkijos programos institucijų sprendimas bus palankus, atnaujintų kelių bendras ilgis padidės beveik 50 %, dar labiau pagerindamas miesto ir užmiesčio jungtis šiame strategiškai svarbiame regione.

On 25–26 November 2025, over 20 guests from Druskininkai visited Supraśl for a tourism conference held within the project “Health Resorts Treasures”.

The event gathered more than 60 tourism stakeholders from both regions to explore shared spa heritage, tourism products, and opportunities for cross-border promotion. Project promotional materials were also presented, along with a strong focus on joint regional marketing.

The visit included a cultural programme showcasing local heritage, strengthening cooperation between the two spa destinations.

Modern ultrasound for better healthcare across borders 🇱🇹 🇵🇱

Švenčionys Health Centre has acquired a state-of-the-art ultrasound device. This investment enhances diagnostic accuracy, speeds up patient care, and reduces the need for referrals to other facilities. The new equipment improves service quality, optimizes staff workflow, and strengthens cross-border healthcare cooperation.

Building friendly schools across borders 🇱🇹 🇵🇱

On 21 November 2025, Polish and Lithuanian educators, students, and parents met in Giżycko for the 4th event of the project “FriendlyEducational space”. Discussions focused on inclusive, skills-based education, supportive school spaces, and fostering dialogue between students, teachers, and families. The event strengthened cross-border collaboration and shared visions for the schools of the future.

💧 A new cross-border cooperation for water sustainability has officially begun!

The first working meeting launched the "SAVIOR" project together with Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji w Suwałkach and its UAB Dzūkijos vandenys.

The project will promote water saving, tap water consumption, rainwater reuse, and investments in stormwater infrastructure and emergency equipment.

As part of the project "MedService", 150 free liquid-based cytology tests were provided to women in the border region.

These screenings significantly strengthen women’s health prevention by enabling early detection of dangerous changes—when treatment is most effective and outcomes are best. 💙💚

Regular cytology and other preventive screenings remain a key element of protecting long-term health.

🎲 “Timeless Game” – a year of history brought to life through play!

After one year, the project "Timeless Game" has reached its finale. Its results unite cultural heritage, traditional games, and modern technology.

✔️ A historical study and the book “Game Stories”
✔️ Reconstructed medieval and 20th-century outdoor games
✔️ Public events and educational activities in Lithuania and Poland
✔️ A VR film presenting ancient games in an interactive way

Although the project has ended, the games remain available at the museum for everyone to try! 🕰️♟️
