This weekend, the international Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival culminated, and Lithuanian filmmakers took home a remarkable haul of awards! 🎬✨

Lithuania is proving once again that we are not just keeping up with the future - we are shaping it. The Ministry of the Economy and Innovation has officially allocated funding for the creation of a national Artificial Intelligence (AI) regulatory sandbox. ✨

🇪🇺 Strengthening Europe’s Security Together 🇱🇹🤝🇩🇪

Construction has officially begun on a joint Rheinmetall–Lithuania artillery shell factory in the Radviliškis District, marking a major step in reinforcing NATO’s eastern flank.

The €300M facility will produce 155 mm artillery shells, create 150+ skilled jobs, and stand among Europe’s most advanced defence plants.

Developed with Lithuanian state partners Epso-G Invest and Giraitė Ammunition Factory, the project reflects trust, innovation, and long-term strategic cooperation between Lithuania and Germany.

A powerful example of how European collaboration strengthens our shared security.

All Saints’ Day and Vėlinės in Lithuania 🕯️
On 1 November, Lithuanians observe Visų Šventųjų diena — All Saints’ Day, followed by Vėlinės on 2 November, the Day of All Souls. These two days hold a special place in the Lithuanian year, devoted to remembrance and gratitude for those who have passed. Families visit cemeteries, lighting candles and laying flowers upon graves. As night falls, the country shimmers with a quiet sea of light — a symbol of the soul’s eternity and the enduring bond between generations.

This atmosphere of solemn beauty is reflected in Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis’ Funeral Symphony. VI (1903). The painting’s flowing forms echo the Lithuanian soul’s sense of connection between the earthly and the cosmic, between memory and infinity.
