For as long as I can remember, I’ve carried deep shame around money—around having it, spending it, and even earning it.
Success felt like something I needed to hide, and with every financial gain came a wave of guilt.
Inheriting money after losing loved ones only made things worse. I didn’t feel like I deserved it, and I was lost on how to handle it. I felt overwhelmed and powerless, ashamed that I couldn’t figure it all out.
But then I realized something important—having wealth doesn’t mean I’m doing well financially if I’m not at peace with it. That’s when I decided to take charge of my financial relationship, stop avoiding the discomfort, and start treating my money with the care it deserves.
We’ve been having some raw, real conversations in our Flourish Financially community about the emotions tied to money, and the next one’s coming up soon. I invite you to join us as we dig deep into how our feelings influence financial decisions and how we can break free from negative patterns.
