Congratulations to Dr. Reem Abu-Rustum on receiving the Clinical Excellence Award by the University of Florida College of Medicine Council. This award recognizes a faculty member who epitomizes excellence in patient care, is a leader in the advancement of clinical innovations, and who has made an impact on patients, staff, peers and trainees. Thank you, Dr. Abu-Rustum, for leading our multidisciplinary teams, serving as a mentor to junior colleagues and trainees, and bringing compassionate, evidence-based care to the bedside.

I am deeply honored to announce the creation of The Sameer E. Abu-Rustum Education Fund at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. This fund was established by UF alumni Bruce Schafer and Rana Ayoub Schafer in loving memory of my father, Dr. Sameer Abu-Rustum who would have celebrated his 83rd birthday today. 🙏🙏

Support resident and fellow education. And to support awards for medical students making rotations through Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
