A newborn girl is noted to be drooling saliva, and she chokes violently when she is first fed. On physical examination, she is found to have abdominal distention and an imperforate a**s. There is no fistula to the perineum or va**na. Examination of the urine reveals no meconium in it. Echocardiogram and renal sonogram are reported as negative for other congenital defects.

A 15 year old male has sudden onset of severe pain in his right lower abdomen commencing 2 hours ago. He has vomited several times in the last hour. He is rolling on the bed, stating that the pain is going down into his groin. T 37.1 degrees Celcius, P 110min, BP 135/ 80. Abdomen - soft, no rebound. Tender right testicle. Your immediate management is:

Fifty years old obese female complaining from right upper quadrant abdominal pain post cholesystectomy for multiple gallstones.her vitals are stable. Lab shows : total bilirubin=0.9, AST=35, ALT=32, Alkaline phosphatase=45, Ultrasound abdomen does not show dialatation of biliary tree. what's the Dx ?

Fifty years old male post emergency colonic resection after ischemic colitis. He has been on peperacillin and tazobactam for 5days.he was (NPO=nothing by mouth) for the past 5days.he is alcoholic. On the 6th post op. day he developed a bleeding from the venipuncture site.His vital signs are normal.
