Le Maroc et le Sénégal, liés par une coopération historique et stratégique, renforcent leur partenariat au service du développement africain.
C’est dans ce contexte que la CGEM a tenu, mardi 27 janvier, une rencontre de haut niveau en marge de la Haute Commission Mixte Maroc–Sénégal, en présence du Chef du Gouvernement du Royaume du Maroc, du Premier ministre sénégalais et de hauts représentants des deux pays.
Sothema : catalyseur de souveraineté pharmaceutique africaine :
Lors de cette rencontre, Mme Lamia Tazi, Présidente du Groupe Sothema, a réaffirmé l’ambition du groupe : bâtir une industrie pharmaceutique africaine souveraine, compétitive et durable.
Avec WAPH, sa filiale au Sénégal, le Groupe déploie un modèle intégré mêlant production locale, transfert de technologie et montée en compétence des talents africains.
Ce partenariat maroco‑sénégalais démontre la capacité du continent à structurer des chaînes de valeur régionales fortes et à renforcer la sécurité sanitaire.

Bound by a historic and strategic cooperation, Morocco and Senegal are further reinforcing their partnership to serve african development.
In this context, the CGEM held a high-level meeting on Tuesday, January 27th, on the sidelines of the Morocco-Senegal Joint Commission. The event was presided by the Moroccan Head of Government, the Senegalese Prime Minister, and high-ranking representatives from both countries.
Sothema, a catalyst for african pharmaceutical sovereignty
During this meeting, Ms. Lamia Tazi, CEO of the Sothema Group, reaffirmed the group's ambition of building a sovereign, competitive, and sustainable african pharmaceutical industry.
Through WAPH, its subsidiary in Senegal, the Group is deploying an integrated model that combines local production, technology transfer, and the upskilling
of African talent.
