“Autologous platelet gel as adjunctive therapy for severe corneal ulcers: a pilot study” :

This pilot study explores the role of Autologous Platelet Gel (APG) as an adjunctive regenerative therapy in severe corneal ulcers resistant to conventional management.
The Key outcomes are accelerated epithelial healing, decrease in inflammation and pain, and excellent safety and tolerance profile
The APG combines the biological benefits of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and autologous fibrin, providing a growth-factor-rich scaffold that supports corneal tissue regeneration.

Cette étude pilote évalue l’efficacité du gel autologue plaquettaire (APG) comme traitement adjuvant dans les ulcères cornéens sévères, avec des résultats prometteurs sur la cicatrisation, la douleur et la tolérance.
Le gel autologue plaquettaire, issu de la combinaison du PRP et de la fibrine autologue, constitue un support biologique riche en facteurs de croissance favorisant la régénération cornéenne.
Un grand merci à tous les co-auteurs pour cette belle collaboration, et en particulier au Pr Cosimo Mazzotta pour son aide précieuse et son accompagnement scientifique.
Fière de mener ce travail au sein du Kornea Casablanca Center, dédié à la recherche et à l’innovation en pathologies cornéennes et médecine régénérative.
