很多人以為在治療過程中「越痛越有效」,
但其實,「No pain, no gain」的觀念已經過時了。
過強的刺激反而可能讓身體更緊,
甚至出現瘀青。
在物理治療過程中,
重點不是忍痛,
而是用合適的刺激,讓身體在放鬆與可呼吸的狀態下慢慢調整。
當身體感到安全,
才有機會真正降低緊繃與疼痛。
如果在治療過程中感到不適或力道過強,
記得和治療師溝通,找到最適合你的強度。

A lot of people believe that “more pain means better results,”

Excessive stimulation may actually cause the body to tighten up
and even lead to bruising.
In physical therapy,
treatment is not about enduring pain,
but about using appropriate input so the body can gradually adapt
in a relaxed and comfortable state.
When the body feels safe,
it has a better chance to reduce tension and pain.

communicate with your therapist
to find the intensity that works best for you.
