Some projects take longer than others to get off the ground. While Aloe Montserrat is still a vision we hope to bring to reality, it became evident that are some fundamentals that need to be in place before we can realistically begin the project:

1. The island needs a reliable source of electricity. Even with generators available, we can not provide a five star experience if regular disruptions to electrical power persist.

2. In order to work with mental healthcare providers around the world using the latest in technology, best-in-class internet access is necessary. Despite the arrival of fibreoptic internet on the island, it has yet to be deployed island-wide and demonstrate reliability.

3. A consistent supply of fresh food is essential. A variety of five star meals cannot be created when the supply of fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh poultry and eggs is not regularly available.

These challenges impede the ability to create a world-class retreat that will appeal to high-end clients; however, we stand by our goal of making this happen on Montserrat so that we can not only deliver world-class mental healthcare but also create meaningful, high-paying jobs for Montserratians. Until the challenges are addressed, it is also difficult to attract investors to the project.

In no way are we giving up. We are merely in a holding pattern until the necessary fundamentals are in place.

More progress this week. Aloe Global Holdings, Inc. was approved by Connecticut. AGH will handle all US-aspects of Aloe Montserrat.

Approval was received from the Government of Montserrat for the initial “Planning Outline” of the project. This is a good step forward and we are appreciative of the time the GoM spent reviewing our application.

The website for Aloe Montserrat will be online soon. It will share more details about the project and its progress.

We are awaiting planning permission from the Government of Montserrat. A few additional details were requested, to which we responded immediately. It is hoped we will have a decision shortly!

Aloe Montserrat Company Limited is officially registered as a Montserrat company.

Planning approval has been requested and a response is expected by the end of January.
