AM DX SW 15245 KHz Voice of Korea in English From Malta. The XHDATA D-808 was placed inside and despite there were some fades, the reception was clearly audible and transmission is heard quite well. As per Short Wave, a year later, transmissions are still taking place daily between 20:00 PM and 21:00 PM (UTC+2). It is broadcasting from North Korea’s Kujang Transmitter that houses around 200 kW in transmission power which is approximately 9,065 kilometres away towards Kujang. 73 😊

FM DX RAI Radio 2 Calabria 97.6 MHz From Malta [Tropo]. Moderate tropo levels towards Calabria as it was a sunny day. The TEF6686 did quite well with its telescopic antenna as it reached RDS levels by displaying ‘*Radio2’ and PI Code showing 5202. ID is heard by 0:19 and short jingle by 0:26. Italian advertisements are heard during the recording. It is broadcasting from Calabria’s Palizzi FM Transmitter of around 20 kW in power which is approximately 270 kilometres away. 73 😊

FM DX PR 3 Polskie Radio Trojka Wielkopolskie 96.4 MHz From Malta [Sporadic-E][2023]. A very poor SpE day as only two stations were caught. Temperature was around 22 Degrees Celsius and the weather was a bit overcast. Very poor and weak reception which it began being audible by 0:40. It did not reach RDS levels. It is broadcasting from Poland’s Poznan FM Transmitter that houses around 120 kW in transmission power that is approximately 1,820 kilometres away towards Wielkopolskie. 73 😊

AM DX MW 963 KHz RTT Radio Tunis Chaine International Tunisia From Malta. The place of catch is around Zonqor. Temperature reached almost 32 Degrees Celsius which it was a nice day. Reception quality was fair and audible which another station might was getting in the way. Currently according to MWList, it seems to be inactive. It was being broadcasting from Tunisia’s Dejdeida Transmitter that houses around 100 kW in transmission power which is approximately 420 kilometres away towards Djedeida. 73 😊

FM DX RTL 102.5 Agrigento 89.5 MHz From Malta [Tropo]. Reception was great around many parts in Sicily which the TEF6686 was connected to the 7 Element Yagi Antenna. It reached RDS levels by displaying ‘RTL102.5’ which its PI Code displayed as ‘5218’. It is broadcasting from Agrigento’s San Giovanni Gemini FM Transmitter with an unknown source of power which is approximately 210 kilometres away. 73 😊

TV DX DVB-T UHF C41 634 MHz Mediaset Mux 3 From Malta [August 2024 Update]. This is the latest update as the Mux was transitioned from C24 (498 MHz) to C41 (634 MHz). The line-up consisted of duplicates of Rete4 HD, Canale5 HD, Italia1 HD, 20Mediaset HD, Mediaset Extra and Test HEVC Main 10.The MUX is generally and occasionally caught during the day which only if such weather conditions are challenging. This was only caught by using the small 8 Element Antenna which as depicted during the video, the quality was 100% and the strength of signal stood at around 34%. It is broadcasting from Buccheri’s Monte Lauro Transmitter of around 20 kW in power which is approximately 140 kilometres away. 73 😊

FM DX ERA 1 Proto Programma Iraklion 94.4 MHz from Malta [Tropo]. Duct tropo being received towards Crete which as time progressed, reception was so much better and reaching RDS levels. The place of catch is in Zonqor. Temperature was around 29 Degrees Celsius. A lot of static is heard which did not reach RDS levels. Nowadays the station is known as ERT News Radio. It is broadcasting from Crete’s Charakas-Akhendrias FM Transmitter which houses around 35 kW in transmission power that is approximately 970 kilometres away towards Iraklion. 73 😊

FM DX TRT Radyo 1 Karaman 96.4 MHz From Malta [Sporadic-E][2024]. Sporadic-E was quite active during the day, ranging from Israel to Palestine, Turkey to Greece, with a hint of Russia. At times, the reception was great whilst connected with the 7 Element Yagi Antenna. RDS levels were reached by displaying ‘RADYO-1 - 4442401 - 96420MHz – HERYERDE’ and PI Code encoded by displaying ‘3202’ on the TEF6686. It is broadcasting from Turkey’s Karaman FM Transmitter which houses around 36 kW in transmission power that is approximately 1,670 kilometres towards Karaman. 73 😊

AM DX MW 1593 KHz Bretagne 5 Brittany From Oxford. This was during the stay in Oxford due to family’s medical reasons. The reception from the XHDATA D-808 is very great despite being placed indoors within the Conifers Guest House. It stopped transmitting around 22nd November 2023, due to a claim with the power supply problem but seems to be off air for good. It used to eb broadcasting from France’s Saint Goueno Transmitter which housed around 10 kW in transmission power which is approximately 400 kilometres away towards Brittany. 73 😊
