Pilates Point Pilates Point is a Pilates studio offering small group classes, and private single and duo sessions. Gallagher.

Using state-of-the-art Gratz apparatus, we practice the Authentic Classical Pilates System developed by Joseph Pilates. Joseph Pilates worked to developed an exercise regime that can be described as a unique method of body conditioning. The Pilates Method engages the mind and the body allowing the body to move with ease, with flowing and balanced movements. It focuses on alignment of the body, breathing, co-ordination, balance, precision and developing a strong core "powerhouse". Pilates exercises are developed and are modified to suit any person so as to make it a completely safe and challenging workout. I provide Pilates sessions for small group classes, and single and due private sessions using state-of-the-art Gratz equipment in Attard. I am Internationally Certified as a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor by the Pilates Centre of Las Vegas of Elena Bartley. I am also a Classical Pilates Instructor having completed a New York Pilates Studio Certification Programme offered by Sean P. More recently, I followed a Master Programme in Classical Pilates delivered by Gloria Gasperi of Pilates E-motion. Looking forward to see you at my studio ...

When we think about “the center” as one specific spot of the body… we miss the point of using the whole body as a whole and the whole point that what matters is… the relationship among the parts of the body; of course we move from and with a strong center , from the “core”, the “powerhouse “ (however we wanna call it) but… the point is to use the entire body in a efficient and balanced way… restoring communication and alignment among the joints of the kinetic chains and move in a economical and effcient way , using our deep muscles to produce work and restoring energy. Joe Pilates was talking a lot about the benefits of the work for blood circulation , for the lymphatic system, for the organs… it’s way more than “hold your abs”… it’s a never ending journey in the possibilities of our bodies to heal and feel❤️

In our system, we have the possibility to work the body in different relationship with the gravity , creating and restoring communication among all the parts of the body… it’s not about creating one box , one position, one shape and holding it… it’s about becoming strong and consistent in keeping an active and alive relationship among the parts of the body while moving and through the movement, in all the directions possible… Joe used to say that the healthy spine is the one that can move in all the possible directions… of course with control and precision but… don’t forget… through movement… presence and vision… connection and communication… consistency and space 💜

More I work, more I teach , more I practice, more I share… more and more it’s so evident how we cannot pass this work if we don’t keep doing it for ourselves ; this work is an incredible tool to evolve, to keep finding aspect of ourselves that we cannot know until we meet them. To know the work is not the final goal … it’s the beginning and it’s a never ending process and it’s the tool to keep exploring, expanding, evolving, breath, live and love ❤️

What are you deepest fear in the work? I recently asked this question during a workshop and … fear of failure, fear of being judged, fear of feel pain, fear of not being good enough… and … you know what?

It’s ok and normal to have any fear you might have… what is not good is to approach the work in a way that creates and enhances your fears… the work is , instead, an amazing tool to see your fears, face them with patience , time, kindness and love … and transform them in your strength, beauty, power and ability to see and accept ❤

We can start a session or a movement deciding what we are supposed to feel … action precedes sensation and our perception changes and , if we do the work properly, becomes deeper and more sophisticated… we repeat the same sequence and movements… but the way we related to them changes… that’s the progression of the work ❤️
