We are looking for Veterinary Nurses and New Graduate Veterinary Surgeons (working in a nursing role) to join our Out-of-Hours Emergency Team in Malta.

🔹 EU applicants welcome
🔹 English language required

🕒 Shifts:
• Night shifts (8pm–8am), including public holidays
• Approx. 10 shifts per 30 days

💰 Salary: €35,000 per year

You’ll be working in a supportive emergency environment alongside experienced vets, gaining valuable ECC exposure and hands-on experience.

As the Maltese summer heats up, here are some super important tips to keep your dog safe and happy! 💛

🚫🐾 No walks during peak heat!
Avoid walking your dog between 10am – 6pm 🕙–🌞. Hot pavements can burn their paws! 😢 Instead, go for early morning or evening strolls 🌅🌙.

🦟🌿 Sandfly alert!
Early morning, dusk, and evening are the worst times for sandflies — but also when it’s coolest for walks. If heading out during these times, protect your dog with a sandfly repellent, like citronella spray, a Vet-recommended spot-on, or collar such as 'scalibor'. Prevention is key! 🧴🩵

💧💨 Keep them cool indoors
Always leave fresh water and a fan or A/C on. Keep their water bowl filled and place a fan nearby if they’re indoors. 🐕💦

🚗❌ NEVER leave your dog in a parked car!
Even with the window down, cars get dangerously hot in minutes. It’s a big no-no! 🚫🔥

🐾🧊 Extra Tip:
Pop some dog-safe treats in the freezer for a fun, cool snack! 🍦

Cats LOVE chasing string, thread, ribbons and shoelaces... but did you know these can be life-threatening if swallowed? 😿

🧶 What seems like innocent play can quickly turn serious! Swallowed string can twist around the intestines and cause blockages. Surgery is often the only way to save them.

So, let them chase safe toys only 🪶🧸 and always tidy away thread, yarn, and sewing supplies!

💬 If your cat eats string (even part of it), don’t wait, call your vet ASAP. It’s better to be safe than sorry!

Love animals and want to make a real difference? We’re currently looking for part-time veterinary nursing staff to join our compassionate and dedicated team. We primarily need support for our 4–7pm shifts in Birkirkara & Żurrieq, as well as weekend rotations in Fgura.

What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in a vet clinic? That’s a big plus!
• Must be willing to learn how to safely restrain animals – we’ll guide you.
• A genuine love for animals.
• Calm, kind, and focused – even in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent communication in both English and Maltese is required.
• Flexible availability is essential – especially evenings and weekends.
• A driving license is a bonus (we operate in Birkirkara, Żurrieq, and Fgura).

Clinic Hours:
• Birkirkara & Żurrieq: Mon–Fri 4pm–7pm

🐾 Can enter eyes, ears, nose, or paws – may cause pain, infection, or surgery

🚫 Avoid overgrown grassy areas

🧼 Check & clean fur, paws, ears, and face after walks

✂️ Groom regularly to prevent seeds getting stuck
