Yesterday Ms Sarah Farrugia represented the Society of Medical Radiographers during a meeting with David Agius organised by the Malta Federation of Professional Associations, where the importance of maintaining professional standards to safeguard the service citizens receive, volunteering and our role in society were discussed.

Mr Andrea Bellizzi represented the Society of Medical Radiographers in a meeting with Prime Minister Dr Robert Abela, and Ministers Michael Falzon, Julia Farrugia and Jo Etienne Abela, organised by the MFPA. 🤝🏻

Various matters related to professionals including the importance of consultation with professional organisations in policy making were discussed. 📚

Today, the Society for Medical Radiographers Malta held its Annual General Meeting for the year 2026.

During the AGM, the minutes of the AGM and EGM held in 2025 were approved, and the Secretarial and Financial Reports for the 2025 calendar year were presented to members.

We are also pleased to announce that a new Executive Committee for the 2026-2028 term was elected 🎉, composed of the following members:

The Society of Radiographers Malta (SRM) will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Friday, 9th January at 14:30.

The AGM will be held in a hybrid format, and members may attend:

• Supporting fellow radiographers
• Organising CPD activities and professional events

This month, SRM was proud to support two organisations whose work makes a meaningful difference in our community. A donation of €250 was given to both Hospice Malta and Richmond Foundation - Malta. 🎁

Hospice Malta provides free, compassionate palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, supporting both individuals and their families. Through a multidisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers, they offer services such as home care, day therapy, hydrotherapy, patient transport, specialised equipment loans and bereavement support - all focused on dignity, comfort and quality of life.

Richmond Foundation - Malta is a leading mental health and wellbeing charity, offering counselling, community programmes, support groups, training and outreach services. Their work promotes positive mental health, resilience and social inclusion, while providing accessible, non-judgemental support to individuals and families across Malta.
