While in Minnesota I had to stop by one of my favorite places to get my hearing checked and make sure my hearing devices are synced with my needs.
I purposely asked Starkey Hearing to make mine red. I want people to notice them and ask about them!

Here are some simple facts on why I urge all my friends to get their hearing checked:
-It takes 10yrs for the average person to realize they have hearing loss
-You make it very uncomfortable to others around you when you have hearing loss. Having the TV too loud, asking people to repeat themselves, talking louder than others, people having to yell at you, not hearing things correctly and then having other issues down the road because people thought you heard what they said… these are just a few.

It’s sad that the main reason that people don’t get hearing devices is because they don’t like the stigma of what other people will think if they see them with it.
Who cares what other people think! It’s about your quality of life!
Why cheat yourself out of one of the simplest joys of life… hearing. Don’t you want to hear your sweet child’s voice? The ocean? Clear communication with your friends and loved ones? And so much more.

If you are reading this and know that somebody in your life needs to see this, please pass it on.
