Prenatal Pilates
Are you pregnant and wish to follow a fitness class? Pilates may be just the right thing for you!
Pilates is a safe low impact exercise that aims to build physical strength and maintain a positive mind throughout the pregnancy journey ahead.
Pilates exercises are simple and effective, targeting the core muscles and pelvic floor, to ensure that you keep fit during pregnancy whilst preparing your body for childbirth. As Pilates is very much focused on breathing, many mothers find that Pilates prepares them well for labour, when breathing control is key. Above all, Pilates helps correct your posture which in turn reduces the strain that pregnancy and today's busy lifestyle place on your pregnant body. Previous Pilates experience isn't necessary.
Sessions are held by a Pilates certified midwife who is also specifically qualified in ante- and post-natal Pilates by the internationally recognised Pilates institution, APPI.
