As we step into November, our Simblija residents came together to honour both Pink October and Movember with a warm and creative craft session.

The afternoon was filled with pink-themed decorations, fun Movember mustache props, sweet treats, and plenty of smiles. With the help of Fiona Vassallo, residents created a beautiful handcrafted card to mark the occasion and raise awareness for these important causes.

At Simblija, we cherish moments that bring our community together especially when they celebrate strength, support, and wellbeing.

Baking Cookies with Our Residents 💜💗

Our residents had a wonderful time during our cookie baking session with Chef Steven, filling the room with sweet aromas and smiles! 👩‍🍳✨

Everyone took turns helping the chef mixing, shaping, and carefully placing the cookies on trays before baking them to golden perfection. The best part? Tasting their delicious creations together! 💫

Our chef also shared his professional tips and tricks, making the session both fun and educational. It was truly a delightful morning enjoyed by all! 🌸

Friday Craft Time 💗

As part of our weekly crafts session, our residents spent a lovely morning creating their own bracelets and necklaces. 🎨✨

Each resident chose colours to match their unique style, resulting in beautiful, personalised jewellery pieces. It was wonderful to see their creativity shine and even more heart-warming to see the smiles as they proudly wore their own creations. 💕

Spa Morning at Simblija 💗

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing pampering session during our Spa Morning activity, a lovely way to unwind and share positive vibes together. ✨🧖‍♀️

From elegant hairstyles and natural makeup to soothing hand massages, calming music, and refreshing drinks, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, chats, and smiles all around. 💕 The ladies looked absolutely beautiful and radiant, their happiness truly shone through! 🌸

A big thank you to our dedicated care team for making the morning so special, it was a wonderful experience for everyone. 💜

Sweet Summer Memories 💗

As autumn settles in, we took a lovely trip down memory lane with our BMSU residents, celebrating Ice Cream Van Day! 🍨✨

Our space was decorated with a fun “memory ice cream van” theme that brought back joyful childhood memories the sound of the ice cream van music, running out with siblings and neighbours, and choosing that favourite flavour on a hot summer’s day. ☀️💕

We even played a fun guessing game, residents had to identify ice cream flavours with their eyes closed, and those who guessed correctly received a handmade gift! 🎁

It was a heart-warming afternoon filled with laughter, nostalgia, and sweet memories shared together. 💜

Celebrating Our Residents’ Creativity 🎨

Last week, our talented Simblija residents showcased their beautiful craftwork at an exhibition organised by OPSA in Valletta. 💜

The display featured an array of handmade creations that ranged from diamond paintings and knitted pieces to posters, hand-painted stones, and cards for every occasion. Each piece reflected the creativity, patience, and joy of our wonderful residents. ✨

It was an inspiring event that brought together care homes from across Malta, celebrating the artistic spirit within our community. 🌸

This week, our Simblija community joined hundreds of participants in the Annual Walk for Dementia, organised by the Malta Dementia Society.

It was an inspiring day filled with unity and awareness, reminding us that dementia is not faced alone. At Simblija, we are proud to partner with the Society throughout the year, supporting initiatives that empower families, raise awareness, and strengthen dignity for those affected.
