🌱 Teaching kids to name emotions before solving the problem:

One of the biggest gifts we can give our children is language for what’s happening inside them.

Before we rush to fix, guide, or redirect… we pause and help them name the feeling.

Once a child can say “I’m sad,” “I’m overwhelmed,” or “I’m frustrated,”
the world becomes a little less scary, and a lot more manageable.

“Maybe saying goodbye does not mean letting go,” she whispered. “Maybe it just means remembering.”

Draw your brave face, the one you wear when you speak up, try again, or share something that matters.

Encourage your child to name that feeling: brave, nervous, proud, and talk about what helped them in that moment. 💬

I started the Courage Series because I kept meeting children who were carrying so much… quietly.

Sometimes all they needed was a gentle space, a soft question, or someone who could sit with their feelings long enough for the words to appear.

That’s what this new book offers, a small doorway for children to name what’s happening inside.
