Lyons Care Ltd. Statement – Casa Paola
Lyons Care Ltd. categorically denies allegations that employees at Casa Paola were threatened or intimidated in relation to union membership.
We fully respect our employees’ legal rights and freedom of association. At no point has management pressured or threatened any staff member regarding union participation.
Communication with employees on workplace matters is a normal and responsible part of management and should not be misinterpreted.
Claims that contracts or work permits are linked to union membership are entirely false. Employment decisions are based solely on operational needs and performance. In fact, a union member was recently moved from part-time to full-time employment.
Our legal representatives are in contact with DIER, with a meeting scheduled for 23 March. While we remain committed to constructive dialogue, the union has chosen to proceed with industrial action unless all demands are met.
Lyons Care Ltd. respects the industrial relations process and remains committed to resolving matters through the appropriate channels.
Casa Paola remains dedicated to providing a respectful workplace and the highest standard of care for our residents.

Lyons Care Ltd. tiċħad b’mod kategoriku allegazzjonijiet li impjegati f’Casa Paola ġew mhedda jew intimidati fir-rigward tas-sħubija tagħhom f’union.
Aħna nirrispettaw bis-sħiħ id-drittijiet legali tal-impjegati u l-libertà ta’ assoċjazzjoni. Fl-ebda ħin ma saret pressjoni jew theddid fuq xi impjegat dwar dan.
Il-komunikazzjoni mal-impjegati dwar kwistjonijiet tax-xogħol hija parti normali u responsabbli tal-maniġment u m’għandhiex tiġi interpretata bħala intimidazzjoni.
L-allegazzjonijiet dwar rabta bejn kuntratti jew permits u union huma kompletament foloz. Id-deċiżjonijiet dwar l-impjieg jittieħdu biss fuq il-bażi tal-ħtiġijiet operattivi u l-prestazzjoni. Fil-fatt, membru ta’ union reċentement ġie trasferit minn part-time għal full-time.
Ir-rappreżentanti legali tagħna jinsabu f’kuntatt mad-DIER, b’laqgħa skedata għat-23 ta’ Marzu. Filwaqt li aħna impenjati għal diskussjoni kostruttiva, il-union għażlet li tkompli bl-azzjoni industrijali sakemm jintlaħqu t-talbiet kollha tagħha.
Lyons Care Ltd. tibqa’ tirrispetta l-proċess u impenjata li ssolvi s-sitwazzjoni permezz tal-kanali xierqa.
