Guilt, shame, insecurity, hate, fear - these words and many more are used to describe the moments where we are not in alignment with love.

These unpleasant feelings surface when we experience a "need" or "lack." They are illusions of our true Self. We fixate our attention on these temporary and short-term experiences and mistake them for the story of Our Self. They become the narrative and take hold of us until they are satisfied. The problem is that the ego's way of self satisfying keeps us in an endless loop of trying to fix that which doesn't need fixing. In other words, the illusion that the ego is under brings forth an illusory solution.

The real solution is to turn our attention away from these feelings, bring ourselves to clarity, and come to our hearts so we can look at them through the eyes of unconditional love and acceptance.

This unconditional Love cannot be comprehended by ego, because the ego is meant to be the way it is. To align with this unconditional love, we need to untangle our attention from the illusory ego by putting our efforts and "doingness" to rest, allowing and surrendering to the natural unfolding of the present moment.

Unconditional love understands where you are hurt. It is always waiting with open arms for you to return to your Self so you can open your heart.

Self is pure, whole, complete. All these feelings are fragmented parts of that whole.

If we can find it within us to align with love and let those feelings meet with love, they begin to transcend and transmute.

Meditation is so much more than just sensationalised breathing. It is a practice, a sort of tool, that connects us to the depths of love within. In silence we recognise we still are, even if we are not doing.

This stillness is the antidote to the suffering we experience. There is a deep silence within that holds the space for all your struggles to come to a resolve and find peace. Whether it is through creatively adjusting or simply finding a deeper acceptance for what is.

You don't need to be a monk to experience this or spend countless hours in a monastery. What is needed is a willingess and a bit of discipline to patiently allow your awareness to become unobscured, and allow its natural expansion to unfold.

One does not "become" enlightened, one recognises themselves as the light that pervades all experience 🙏💜🌟🌸

One of the saddest things in culture is how deeply we’re conditioned to believe a single person will enter our lives and we’ll be happily ever after.

So many of us spend our lives on the search for this one person. When we commit, we believe that life should feel perfect. That we will finally feel whole or “complete.”

Of course, this is not how human relationships work.

No other person can complete us. No one can make us “feel good” always—nor should they.

So many people spend their lives going from relationship to relationship looking for a feeling. From person to person where they’re ultimately let down and resentful because they don’t fully understand what a relationship is. And what they can expect from it.

Relationships are spaces to learn, to grow, to practice empathy, to expand, and to build a family or community that we consciously choose.

Relationships require skills like communication, awareness, and self regulation.

They will bring joy, play, and fun.

They will bring sadness, pain, and confusion.

Sometimes they’ll feel effortless and aligned.

Other times they’ll feel heavy and stagnant.

There will be the clashing of opinions and conflict.

There will be emotional intimacy and extreme gratitude.

It’s not a fairy tale.

It’s an opportunity to create the steady love we all are seeking

Our breath comes and goes without our noticing. We don't question our bodies in this art, we don't mourn each breath that passes. The body openly allows the exhale and welcomes a new inhale. So, what makes our emotional and mental shedding so painful in our growth process?

Simply put, it is attachment to what was, and resistance to what is becoming.

Our awareness mistakes itself for the emotions, thoughts, and feelings produced by the body, and the grasp happens in the pursuit of pleasure over pain. Evolutionary wise, this makes sense. But from a spiritual perspective, this is the root of suffering.

Wanting, and not wanting, become the fulcrum of our pain. This is why acceptance/surrendering/letting go are so essential in our wellbeing, because there is a beautiful harmonising that wants to take place which cannot because we keep insisting on that which no longer wants to take place.

We continue to chase a pleasant experience, all the while forgetting our essence as awareness. When we cease to want and not want, we are free to be our truest self, as awareness and source consciousness, which is ultimately whole and complete. 🌸🙏💛
