Celebrating 35 years of service to the community ❤️

In this reel, our CEO Paulette Fenech shares the heart of what Malta Red Cross stands for in 2026. From supporting 112 through our ambulance service, to lifeguards and coastal rescue on dinghies and jet skis, to teaching first aid so more people are prepared before help arrives — our mission has always been simple: protect life and strengthen our community.

This year also marks the launch of WENS, our newest project focused on combating loneliness among the elderly and ensuring no one is left behind.

Every step of our growth is powered by the dedication of our management, staff and volunteers, whose commitment and compassion drive everything we do. What we build, we build for the community — and we move forward together. ❤️

Serving You Better

We are excited to share a remarkable achievement that reflects our unwavering commitment to protecting communities and serving our country.

Thanks to the incredible support from our clients and authorities, we have successfully developed robust capabilities that allow us to respond effectively—not only during major incidents and events but also in addressing everyday needs throughout the year.

Today, we stand ready to support emergency services in meeting the highest standards set by the European Union. Our systems and teams can now assist authorities to respond to emergencies, ensuring timely assistance when it matters most.

With over 100 staff and 300 volunteers who are highly trained in first Emergency response together with fleet of Ambulances, and Fast response vehicles all of which have been manufactured as Emergency vehicles and fully equipped to save lives.

This milestone is a testament to our shared vision and dedication to safeguarding lives. Together, we are setting a new benchmark for excellence in emergency response. None of this would have been possible without the motivation and commitment from the authorities, enabling us to provide day-to-day services as part of the national public service.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your continued support empowers us to make a real difference.

🌪️ Well done to all emergency responders during Storm Harry 🌪️
Yesterday’s storm showed just how powerful and unpredictable nature can be. With hundreds of incidents across the Maltese Islands, from fallen trees and debris to flooding, electrical hazards, and people trapped, Storm Harry tested our national emergency response to its limits.

The continuous hard work, professionalism, and coordination shown by Civil Protection Malta and all partner entities once again underlined how vital preparedness, prevention, and rapid response are in protecting lives and communities. Each cleared road, secured hazard, and assisted person is a reminder that prevention and readiness truly save lives.

❤️ Malta Red Cross is proud to stand alongside such dedicated teams, supporting national efforts in times of crisis and working together to ensure safety, resilience, and care for those affected.
To every responder who worked through the night and beyond, thank you for your commitment, courage, and service to Malta.
Stay safe, remain vigilant, and always follow official guidance during severe weather.
