Very often, more than the stressful event per se, it is our thoughts and beliefs about that said event, which bring with them more heaviness, frustration and exhaustion.

In therapy, we seek to identify negative automatic thoughts, understand beliefs and perceptions and learn to challenge them and eventually re-frame them.

Currently at the launch of Mental Health of Medics

At Solace, we believe in providing a safe space for professionals so we are avid believers in the importance of providing mental health support to medical professionals.

Mental illness exists within the medical professional community, beneath the “magical white coat” of the doctor.

Anxiety, depression, high levels of perfectionism and altruism are prevalent symptoms amongst medical professionals.

We hope this service continues to advocate for mental heath in order to build stronger communities.

Thank you once again health of medics for inviting us to this important event!

Solace; A Safe Space

Borrowed into English from Latin, solacium, and Latin verb solari, meaning to console. It means to give comfort to in grief or in misfortune and to soothe in times of distress. As a noun, solace means a source of relief or consolation.

Solace is a private service offering psychological interventions. It aims to offer a safe space for different individuals. At Solace, we provide an ethical, standardized and professional service where the individuals’ needs are placed at the forefront. Our aim is to devise treatment plans which are well researched and evidence-based while maintaining a humanistic approach. Solace aims to increase awareness and continue to promote mental health and wellbeing, fighting the stigma of mental health.

We are a team of wellbeing professionals, working together with individuals, families and groups. Some of the services provided here are individual therapy, psychological assessment, support groups, supervision, training and team building events. Some of the areas we address are anxiety and depression, relational, parenting and family issues, trauma work and bereavement, stress management and work-related issues and personal growth and development.
