🌍✨ World Physiotherapy Day 2025 ✨🌍
This year’s theme ‘Healthy Ageing and the Prevention of Falls and Frailty’ highlights the importance of physiotherapy in geriatrics – helping older adults stay strong, mobile, and independent.

From the youngest to the oldest, physiotherapy supports quality of life at every stage. The exercises, equipment, and guidance we use in our gym help children develop the same lifelong skills that keep older adults active later in life.

Let’s celebrate movement, together – for children, adults, and our future selves.

☀️💪 Summer with the Physiotherapy Team at CDAU 💪☀️

This summer we didn’t slow down — we moved more!

Our team ran 4 weekly classes all summer long, packed with fun and hard work, focusing on:
✅ Core stability
✅ Coordination
✅ Building confidence in movement

Week after week, our children showed us just how much they can achieve with the right support, practice, and encouragement. We’re so proud of their progress – stronger cores, better balance, and lots of smiles along the way.

Because as physiotherapists, we believe movement is for every season. 🌈

🌍✨ World Physiotherapy Day 2025 ✨🌍
This year’s theme ‘Healthy Ageing and the Prevention of Falls and Frailty’ highlights the importance of physiotherapy in geriatrics – helping older adults stay strong, mobile, and independent.

At our CDAU Department, we might work with children and young people, but the message is the same across all ages:
💪 Movement is medicine.
🧠 Active lifestyles build resilience.
❤️ Healthy habits today mean better health tomorrow.

Two physiotherapists, Carla Fenech and Rebekah Causon, represented our profession at the Primary Science Fair 2025 at the STEM & CET Curriculum Hub, Pembroke on 15th May. Together with the Occupational Therapists, Nikita Schembri and Dorianne Galea, they organized a series of activities that portrayed our professionals skills through fun and engaging motor activities. Year 5 students from multiple public schools were in attendance. Well done!

Calling teens with disabilities aged 13–15!

This summer, the Edward de Bono Institute for Creative Thinking and Innovation invites teens between 13-15 years to an interactive Summer Programme, running Tuesdays & Thursdays in July & August, from 09:00–13:00, at the University of Malta, Msida Campus.

We’ve designed this programme to help the students to:
* Work on their communication, time management, and creative thinking skills
* Develop and present their own small-scale project
* Explore art for wellbeing with an established artist
* Learn essential presentation techniques

We hope to help the students to boost their creativity, gain confidence, and connect with peers in a supportive, inclusive environment. Please note: there are no sessions from 11–15 August.

Hurry! Only 8 places are available.
