We celebrated Earth Day at Casa Amalia together with students from Gozo College Dun Salv Vella Nadur Primary and Dawwara Nursery 🌍💚

We had an active morning planned out which both the students and our clients enjoyed! We repotted some plants, spent time enjoying the weather on our roof terrace, continued working on our big egg shell vase craft, and ended the morning with a fun game of intergenerational bingo! Last Sunday, our clients participated in a games day with rounds of competitive bowling and target ball challenges. They loved the activities we planned for them, and couldn't help competing with each other to win! 🎳

Activities like these support coordination, focus, and social interaction, all while keeping things enjoyable and engaging. Our schedule is thoughtfully planned to offer a variety of meaningful activities, while still allowing plenty of time for rest and relaxation, always adapted to our clients’ individual needs.

All our clients and staff had great fun playing the Dart Ball Game. Participants were split into three categories: 👨 Male Group, 👩 Female Group, and 👥 Staff Members Group.

The last few days were filled with creative crafts and games our clients loved 🌼✨

At the weekend, our clients worked on a craft using everyday simple materials like cardboard, spoons and paint, creating beautiful, colourful tulips. 🌷Once everyone was happy with their creation. we organised some games to keep mind and body active. 🎯⚽ Clients tested their aim with three different aim and toss games, using rings, balls and targets. Some competition works wonders and everyone gives their all to win.
These activities are fun, help build coordination and confidence and facilitate social connections.

This week, our clients started a new, engaging craft: a vase from scratch! We started by measuring and cutting cardboard cut outs to build the body, and now we're meticulously decorating it using egg shells. 🏺✂️🖌️

Using simple, everyday materials like cardboard and eggshells, the activity gently highlighted the beauty of reusing and giving new purpose to what might otherwise be thrown away. It was a calm and rewarding process, where our clients could take their time, stay engaged, and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something meaningful with their own hands.

We started the week with George's birthday, which we celebrated together with our clients - everyone enjoyed the cake!
We also shared Easter gifts with our clients 🐣🌸, beautiful creations made with love by both our staff and clients. Moments like these remind us how special our community truly is. We're now looking forward to Easter Sunday!
