A gentle reminder: being strong for too long can be its own kind of exhaustion.
I’ve been sitting with this deeply lately… how sometimes the tiredness we feel isn’t from doing too much, but from holding too much for too long.
From being the steady one.
The strong one.
The one who keeps showing up, keeps giving, keeps carrying… even when the body is quietly asking for softness.
In a world that often praises pushing through, it can feel unfamiliar to pause.
To listen.
To admit that the weight feels heavier right now.
But this is something I keep returning to in my own practice:rest is not weakness.
Rest is wisdom.
There are moments when the most powerful thing we can do is soften the jaw, unclench the heart, feel the breath move through the ribs, and allow ourselves to be exactly where we are.
Healing doesn’t always happen in the doing.
Sometimes it happens in the surrender.
In the exhale.
In the spaces where we stop performing strength and simply let ourselves be held.
If you are feeling tired, tender, or stretched beyond your edges, let this be your reminder:you do not need to earn your rest.
Your body already knows the way home.
Pause.
Breathe.
Soften.
That, too, is practice. 🩵
