This year’s EHS Week at Teva Malta was all about learning, engagement, and teamwork with a strong focus on safety, health, and wellbeing across our site.

Throughout the week, employees enjoyed:
🍎 Fresh fruit every day to promote healthy habits
🗣️ Awareness talks by Public Health, OHSA, and ERA
💻 Online sessions on the SIFp (Serious Injury and Fatality Potential) program
⚡ Electrical safety briefings across all Manufacturing and Packaging shifts

And the fun didn’t stop there!
We had enthusiastic participation in activities like:

🧠 EHS Crossword
🏃 Obstacle Circuit Course

The week wrapped up with a memorable offsite teambuilding session alongside our EHS Team, EHS Representatives, and Champions; a great way to connect, recharge, and reinforce the power of collaboration. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make EHS Week a success. 👏👏

💡 World Antibiotic Awareness Week (18–24 Nov) reminds us of the urgent need to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

AMR occurs when bacteria and other microorganisms become resistant to medicines, making infections harder to treat. This year’s theme by WHO is: “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future.”

At Teva, we remain committed to supporting awareness and action around responsible antibiotic use and global health.

Earlier this year, Isaac Schembri joined Teva Malta as an apprentice in the Packaging Department, eager to gain hands-on experience and learn directly from experienced technicians and engineers.

After months of dedication and growth, we're proud to welcome him as a full-time Technician on our team! 🙌

What stood out most during his apprenticeship?
✅ Gaining hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting machinery
✅ Learning to solve challenges through teamwork and problem-solving
✅ Understanding how the production process fits together

What’s next for him?
🔧 “I’m excited to take on more responsibility, deepen my knowledge, and contribute even more to Teva’s goals. My long-term aim is to become a Senior Technician.”
