Our Corporate Office team recently spent an insightful Sustainability Day at Long Beach Resort.

The team explored the Marine Centre with three dedicated Marine Scientists who shared insights on the ridge to reef concept, discovered the buzzing bee hives, visited the Chef’s Garden, part of Sunlife’s Climate Smart Agriculture Programme, and enjoyed the Biodiversity Walk among endemic plants.

It was an enriching day filled with learning, connection and positive energy. It was inspiring to see Your Sunlife ’s commitment to sustainability in action.

We were honoured to welcome Dr the Honourable Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, along with distinguished guests and partners, for the launch of FERNEY Tropical Agrihood yesterday evening at Falaise Rouge.

Developed by CIEL Properties and Ferney, this visionary project is built on regenerated agricultural land and anchored in CIEL’s long-term commitment to sustainability and inclusive growth. FERNEY Tropical Agrihood aims to create a thriving, low-carbon, nature-connected community while preserving the exceptional natural and historical heritage of the region.

“Today, we are laying the foundation of a new legacy: a meaningful destination that reimagines how we live with the land. Led by a bold vision, with a very strong purpose to develop this part of our island differently: where nature, communities, agriculture, and development grow together rather than compete with one another,” highlighted Guillaume Dalais, Group Chief Executive.

This week, teams from across our clusters and countries pitched their most impactful projects and ideas at the 𝐉𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬 of the 𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐋 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.

With projects competing in three categories: Sustainable Solutions, Reinventing Customer Experience and Business Transformation, the atmosphere was filled with bold presentations, AI-driven innovation, inspiring conversations and creative thinking.

Congratulations to Team A from SEEWA BAPPOO SSS for securing the Second Prize, sponsored by CIEL Group, at the 2025 SEM Young Investors Award (SEMYIA) Trading Game!

Organised by the Stock Exchange of Mauritius, this competition nurtures critical thinking, analytical skills, and an investment culture among the next generation of leaders. This year, it challenged 600 students from 73 colleges, each managing a simulated Rs 200,000 portfolio over two months.

Kudos to all the winning teams for their achievements and all participants for embracing the spirit of learning and innovation.

As part of our Sustainability Strategy, we have launched CIEL’s Sustainable Finance Framework. It marks a milestone in our journey, strengthening our ambition to combine financial discipline with environmental and social responsibility, in line with international best practices.

Funds raised through the framework will support projects in renewable energy and energy efficiency, sustainable water and waste management, healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment in all countries where we operate.
