A Landmark Achievement for Team URH!

We are delighted to announce another significant milestone in our journey of excellence. Our esteemed General Surgeon, Dr. Farooq Ahmad, together with our dedicated surgical team, has successfully performed the first vascular surgery at URH — Flush Ligation & Stripping of Varicose Veins with Perforator Ligation.

Varicose veins are a common yet often overlooked condition. When not treated promptly, they can lead to complications such as persistent discomfort, pain, venous ulcers, and a marked reduction in quality of life.

This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to advancing surgical services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

An informative awareness session was conducted for Ungoofaaru School students above Grade 6, focusing on diabetes prevention and the importance of the ongoing generation ban on smoking in the Maldives.
