I am very pleased to share our NEW Paper in The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health, detailing a comprehensive epi & lab investigation into the causes of acute pediatric hepatitis of unknown origin across the UK.

The extensive authorship and institutions list, & and skills diversity among authors reminded me of how vast and rigorous this effort was!

This massive multidisciplinary endeavor for detection, notification, and response was both swift and rigorous, as we previously reported and published within less than two weeks of detection:

From the outset to the conclusion, the research closely guided the response. This synergy between academia and public health in the UK was instrumental, and should be a model worldwide.

Exciting news from The Lancet Global Health:
Our ACT-TB Trial is published! https://doi.org/10.1016/S2214-109X(23)00052-9
We used an RCT to investigate the diagnostic, clinical and AMR effect of using trial-of-antibiotics during TB investigations.
Our findings present an opportunity 4better care &antimicrobial stewardship.
