This November, MHLeC is focusing on Men’s Mental Health + Kindness! 😊🩵

So many men have been taught to “just cope.” But coping alone can be heavy. Kindness can open doors to conversations, support, and healing. So let us spread kindness, not just this month but forever

Let’s break stigma, one act of kindness at a time! 💪

“We learn, we share, we laugh” 😂💙

watch this short clip from one of our MHLeC participants at BTTC as they talk about what they’ve learned so far and what they want others to know about mental health, while doing implementation!

(stay till the end for a funny blooper because sometimes learning looks like joy too! 🤣)

on this episode of MHLeC on the move! 🥳

we are super proud to have been part of the Erongo Mental Health Conference 2025, where our very own Dr. shared insights from the MHLeC project with more of our likeminded collogues in Namibia. her talk highlighted how boosting mental health literacy helps build resilient youth and supportive communities across Africa! 🌍❤️

together, we’re continuing the conversation on accessible, inclusive mental health care for all in Malawi and the world! 🫵🏾

your brain is more powerful than ANY computer! 🧠

but… did you know Artificial Intelligence (AI) can also be used to support your mental health? 👀

MHLec teamed up with STEM Dorado Science to write “Mental Health in the AI Era”, an eye-opening article for young people aged 9–14, living in an ever evolving technological world. The article touched on:

- how your brain works
- what mental health really means
- how AI can (and can’t) help
- why YOU are more magical than any new robots or AI out there

Be it leading community projects, breaking barriers in entrepreneurship, or fighting for better mental health services, young people are making monumental waves. So this International Youth Day, let’s commit to listening to youth voices and investing in their ideas. Because they are our future 🫂

On the 30th of July, we held a youth-centered mental health policy workshop to collaboratively review a draft policy brief. We brought together youth orgs, educators, government reps, practitioners & passionate youth to review a youth mental health policy brief

The energy? Powerful! 🤩

Because youth know what they need, we just have to listen 🧏🏾

Swipe through to learn more on what a policy brief is and why shaping youth mental health policy in Malawi is so important!

And a special thank you to all that attended 💙
