A day of compassion and solidarity

During our recent outreach activity, we distributed essential products to children living with disabilities. Many families face difficulties accessing basic necessities, and this initiative aimed to provide meaningful support.

Among the items distributed were soap, cereal, and other basic products that help support the daily well being of these children.
Every small gesture counts. By coming together as a community, we can help improve the lives of children who deserve care, dignity, and equal opportunities.

How can communities do more to support children with disabilities? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Empowering voices, advancing inclusion.

Recently, UPD hosted representatives from Disabled Women in Africa (Diwa) as part of a survey titled “Participation of Women with Disabilities in Community Leadership.

This initiative aimed to explore the barriers and opportunities for women with disabilities to take on leadership roles in their communities.

The initiative featured two remarkable women leaders, Madam Elness Munyenyembe and Ms. Jenny Pawi, who drive conversations on inclusion, empowerment, and leadership for women with disabilities across Africa.

Together, we continue to champion equal participation and amplify voices that matter.
