Hand in hand with children with disabilities, their families, and the communities that love them, we are holding on to hope, dignity, and everyday moments of love that change a child’s story, with the same heart to see every child with a disability learn, grow, and thrive.
This year, we look forward to reaching 6,000 children through early identification, health care, Education, and family support, so that every child is seen early, supported with care, and given the chance to live to their fullest potential.

Fount for Nations is deeply saddened by the passing of Tenash Malikebu, who was living with cerebral palsy.

Tenash was one of the children attending functional therapy sessions in Chinsapo and was surrounded by the care and commitment of his family and those supporting his development.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Malikebu’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find comfort in love, strength, and cherished memories.

LOVE CARIES A CHILD FORWARD

Meet three year old Favor, who continues to grow and thrive through the steady love of her single-mother, Aisha Sadick.

Born with a medical condition that causes swelling in her lower body, Favor’s journey began with uncertainty. When doctors explained that treatment would only be possible when she is older, Aisha chose love over fear. Raising her daughter on her own, she built a life rooted in care, starting small businesses to provide stability and surrounding Favor with patience, safety, and hope.

This season of reminds us that love often lives closest to home. In the quiet commitment of parents who show up every day, children find the strength to grow and thrive.

Stories like Aisha’s inspire Fount for Nations. They remind us that families, especially parents, are at the heart of every child’s wellbeing.

This , we honor parents whose courage and compassion carry children forward.

THIS ADVENT SEASON REMINDS US THAT JOY IS A GIFT MEANT TO BE SHARED

An ECD Centre is not only a place of learning, but also a place of laughter, play, and joyful discovery. As children play, learn, and grow together, we see hope taking root in the simplest moments.

This week, as we reflect on the theme of joy, these smiles remind us that when children are given safe and nurturing spaces, they do more than learn. They thrive.

How Beautiful Resource Centres Are

A resource centre is not just a classroom. It’s a place where friendships bloom, confidence grows, and inclusion becomes real.

For Melifa Kabowa, that space changed everything. After struggling to keep up in a mainstream class, she found her turning point in a resource centre, where the right support helped her understand herself.

There, she met Faith M’manga, a friend who walks the learning journey with her every day. Together, they show us that inclusion is built on connection, understanding, and shared growth. Even after school, the play together.

But here’s the hard truth: Malawi has only 178 resource centres for over 6,000 primary schools. Thousands of children with disabilities are still waiting for a place where they belong.

This Advent season, we can change that.
By supporting disability-friendly resource centres, we give children like Melifa and Faith more than education. We give them hope, friendship, and a future.

Let’s build spaces where every child can learn, grow, and belong.

Our Story

Fount for Nations was founded by Patience Musiwa, a nutritionist, when she was 21 years old. She is passionate about education, particularly for children with disabilities. Having volunteered at hospitals and rural schools for 6 years, she was motivated to set up an organization that provides resources for those who have extra learning barriers to overcome for academic success. Fount for Nations is built on the foundation that everyone deserves equal education opportunities and everyone has something special to offer the world.
