The Hyppo Hyperbaric (HH) Studio
It has been found that artificially increasing air pressure and effective oxygen content in a hyperbaric chamber above normal environmental levels have significant and numerous beneficial effects on the overall human physiology.
Generally, there are two classes of this type of treatment ie, Medical Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) , and Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT).
Hyppo Hyperbaric offers mHBOT in its Bucerias studio, whereas HBOT is provided in various clinics across the Bay Area.
Medical Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
For Medical HBOT, the effective oxygen is 100 % effective oxygen at a pressure of 2 to 3 Atmospheres (ATA).
Healthy, active individuals of all ages concerned with their health may be particularly interested in the highlighted excerpts from the following papers.

Performance of Middle-Aged Athletes [4] ( 40 to 50-year-old athletes )

Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT).
Mild HBOT involves breathing 21 % to 35 % effective oxygen content at 1.3 to 1.5 ATA of pressure. Recent studies [5][6][7][8][9][10] [11] have found that in many instances Mild HBOT is nearly as effective as Medical HBOT for improving several aspects of physiology without the adverse side effects and risks associated with Medical HBOT, such as oxidative stress, ear pain, myopia, detoxification, and fire.
Hyppo Hyperbaric clients may book a single “dive,” however, the benefits are cumulative up to a point. It is further recommended that dives should be done as close together as possible, even scheduling twice a day dives done several hours apart. Studies have found that many of the benefits of mHBOT last more than a month after the cessation of a dive regimen.
Hyppo Hyperbaric offers single dives at 800 pesos per 60-minute session, and 10 and 20 dive session packages of 60 minutes duration at 700 and 600 pesos, respectively.
This is the same price one pays for a 60-minute beachside massage with infinitely more benefits.
Dive Preparation
Hyppo Hyperbaric is selectively targeting its service to active, healthy individuals seeking Longevity and Age Enhancement, and Improved Recovery and Performance.
For the dive, it is suggested that clients wear only 100% cotton garments. Arrive free of hair products, make-up, perfume/cologne, and jewelry. Phones and laptops are permitted; however, lighters and sharp objects, and such are not permitted in the chamber.
During the dive, the client may experience discomfort in the ears from pressure changes similar to experiencing a plane descending, in which case, yawn and gently pinch the nose, close the mouth, and blow out gently through the nose. If the discomfort becomes severe, notify the attendant immediately.
Although unlikely for mHBOT, up to 36 hours after diving, as a result of detoxifying, the client may experience loss of appetite, stomachache, constipation or diarrhea, headache, body aches, irritability, or other emotional upset. Consult a physician if conditions persist.
Hypobaric does not guarantee positive outcomes in all cases.
Restrictions
Prospective individuals understand that they are not to consume alcohol, smoke, ingest ma*****na, or have used co***ne, he**in, or other illicit substances before diving.
Prospective individuals currently with a high fever, a viral infection (flu, etc.) , or an upper respiratory infection (cold ) , pneumonia, or suffering from severe depression, are not to dive with HH until the issue has been completely resolved. Prospective individuals who are currently pregnant are not to undergo mHBOT dives with HH. Prospective individuals taking prescription drugs, Bleomycin, Disulfiram or Mafenide Acetate, are not to undergo mHBOT dives with HH. Prospective individuals diagnosed with Hereditary Spherocytosis, Sickle Cell Anemia, COPD, and Diabetes are not to undergo HBOT dives with HH. Prospective individuals with severe allergies, untreated cancer, or an untreated collapsed lung, a history of spontaneous collapsed lung, chronic sinusitis, or chronic obstructive lung disease (known as emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, etc.), heart disease with congestive failure, a history of chest or ear surgery, are not to undergo a dive with HH.
