Dr. Jorge Carrasco was born in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Juarez is a northern Mexico city bordering El Paso, Texas. Dr. Carrasco entered Universidad de Cuidad Juarez as a dental student. He graduated in 1981 at a young age of 21. As a young dentist who had a true passion for dentistry, he became successful and popular in a short period of time. By the age 28, Dr. Jorge Carrasco was already seeing 30-50 American patients per month. Most of his patients are Americans from El Paso who cross the border just to see Dr. Carrasco. Dr. Carrasco was also awarded by an exclusive corporate contract by COCEF. Dr. Carrasco provided treatments to all the hundreds of employees in the company, together with their immediate families. It’s a distinctive award, a testament to Dr. Carrasco’s reputation as a talented and hardworking dentist. Dr. Carrasco travelled regularly to top US dental schools and conferences, such as Loma Linda University in California, to bring state-of-the-art dentistry to his practice. He was one of the first ones to install dental implants in Juarez in 1988. Back then, implants didn’t even have screws, just blades that were inserted in the jawbone. As we speak, Dr. Carrasco has installed more than 8000 dental implants throughout his career. This is a remarkable experience level in oral implantology for any implant dentist. By 2005, Dr. Carrasco’s dental practice is one of the most successful dental practices in Juarez. He designed an integrated dental practice with multiple specialists in one clinic, including Orthodontics, Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Periodontics. In 2008, he became president of ADM (Mexico’s equivalent of ADA) in Juarez, a prestigious award give to only the most ethical and respected dentists in Mexico. Dr. Jorge Carrasco also completed his specialty in Prosthodontics. Prosthodontics is a field in dentistry that specializes in more extensive crown and dental implant restorations. He also taught at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, one of Mexico’s premier dental schools. Doctor Jorge Carasco was a Professor of Integrated Dentistry and Esthetics in the Specialty Programs. Just six months into teaching, he earned the nickname “Dr. House” from his students for his vast knowledge and strictness in practicing high-quality dentistry. Dr. Carrasco decided to move his practice in Cancun, Mexico. Now, he owns Dentcare Cancun, one of the most respected dental facilities in Cancun. Many Americans and Canadians travel to see Dr. Carrasco. Many CEO’s, celebrities, and high profile local clients in Cancun used to travel to Florida for their dental work. Now, they go to see Dr. Jorge Carrasco at Dentcare. One patient describe that her entire small town in Alberta, Canada all get their dental work with Dr Carrasco in Cancun. He has also been featured in Canadian news (Calgary Sun and Edmonton Journal) for his work in providing affordable but top quality dentistry to Canadians. Dr. Jorge Carrasco also holds implant seminars at his clinic to train new dentists on surgeries. He has mentored several young dentists. One of his passions is to share his vast knowledge in dentistry to younger peers. Dr. Jorge Carrasco enjoys trying the many different unique restaurants in Cancun. He is also a wine aficionado. He devotes much of his time talking dentistry to his two kids, who are also following his footsteps as dentists. He is a hardworking dentist whose true passion is to provide only the best dental care to each of his patients.
