The tension and yo-yo-ing of emotions that we are feeling all over the planet are real, and we can all feel it. What are the planets and configurations that are responsible, and why is this happening?
We all have personal planetary configurations with the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury etc. that are unique to us, right down to the degrees of each planet and the houses that they occupy. This affects our mind, our day to day interactions, and our inner personal life. Additionally, as a collective world/society of people, we are also affected by the slower moving planets—Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus in particular. We can also throw in the North and South Nodes of the Moon as determiners of collective fate.
Mars is a planet that I view as having immense power in people’s personal lives as well as on a societal level. On July 6th, Mars entered the sign of Ta**us, where it will stay until August 21st. Mars in Ta**us on its own is viewed as a positive aspect, but when combined with the aspects of other planets (Saturn in Aquarius, Uranus in Ta**us, and the North Node in Ta**us), we can feel financial tension. Stability and feelings of what we could traditionally rely upon is lost. The cost of food (especially beef—ruled by Ta**us the bull), land and housing, luxury goods, or anything that gives us gratification and pleasure has skyrocketed. Saturn traditionally rules the government, and there will be more increases and frustrations due to the government’s lack of response and initiative, which will anger many people. The hard aspects of Saturn to Mars will also show protests and people congregating to express their anger at what they feel to be unfair. August 1st-7th will be an explosive week, so buckle down mentally and prepare for heightened emotions. People who have their Sun, Moon, or Ascendant in Leo, Scorpio, Ta**us, or Aquarius will feel this even more acutely, as it will also be triggering personal aspects for them as well. These personal aspects will manifest as feeling more pressure economically and emotionally.
Difficult times are the best teachers. Winston Churchill was a man famous for a library's worth of brainy quotes, but one of the more relevant for our current times seems to be this one: “Difficulties mastered are opportunities won.” Every soul that is here on Earth has soul contracts with different people, and specific desires that their soul wishes to accomplish before it needs to move on to other lives and other places. Difficulties give us the opportunity to exert our free will and choices that affect our destiny, even if we are limited in our options and can only choose to adopt a specific point of view or attitude about what we are facing. For those people who have planets in fixed signs (Ta**us, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius), the last 2-3 years have been a growth period that was extremely difficult and painful. Fated events both good and bad may have happened, with expansive amounts of growth. You may not currently feel the effects of this growth, because you are too close emotionally to the events as they happened. With time, you will start to see the results and outcome of choices made during this time, even if they were not choices made by you. The good news is that that Saturn will only be transiting in Aquarius for a few more months. By March, Saturn will transition into Pisces and stay there for the majority of 2023. Saturn in Aquarius is not a positive placement for the United States, and Saturn in Pisces should at least slightly improve our country’s economic situation. For those encountering personal difficulties, continue to look for opportunities. There are always opportunities available, even if involves planning for the future instead of the immediate.
