The tension and yo-yo-ing of emotions that we are feeling all over the planet are real, and we can all feel it. What are the planets and configurations that are responsible, and why is this happening?
We all have personal planetary configurations with the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury etc. that are unique to us, right down to the degrees of each planet and the houses that they occupy. This affects our mind, our day to day interactions, and our inner personal life. Additionally, as a collective world/society of people, we are also affected by the slower moving planets—Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus in particular. We can also throw in the North and South Nodes of the Moon as determiners of collective fate.

Mars is a planet that I view as having immense power in people’s personal lives as well as on a societal level. On July 6th, Mars entered the sign of Ta**us, where it will stay until August 21st. Mars in Ta**us on its own is viewed as a positive aspect, but when combined with the aspects of other planets (Saturn in Aquarius, Uranus in Ta**us, and the North Node in Ta**us), we can feel financial tension. Stability and feelings of what we could traditionally rely upon is lost. The cost of food (especially beef—ruled by Ta**us the bull), land and housing, luxury goods, or anything that gives us gratification and pleasure has skyrocketed. Saturn traditionally rules the government, and there will be more increases and frustrations due to the government’s lack of response and initiative, which will anger many people. The hard aspects of Saturn to Mars will also show protests and people congregating to express their anger at what they feel to be unfair. August 1st-7th will be an explosive week, so buckle down mentally and prepare for heightened emotions. People who have their Sun, Moon, or Ascendant in Leo, Scorpio, Ta**us, or Aquarius will feel this even more acutely, as it will also be triggering personal aspects for them as well. These personal aspects will manifest as feeling more pressure economically and emotionally.

Difficult times are the best teachers. Winston Churchill was a man famous for a library's worth of brainy quotes, but one of the more relevant for our current times seems to be this one: “Difficulties mastered are opportunities won.” Every soul that is here on Earth has soul contracts with different people, and specific desires that their soul wishes to accomplish before it needs to move on to other lives and other places. Difficulties give us the opportunity to exert our free will and choices that affect our destiny, even if we are limited in our options and can only choose to adopt a specific point of view or attitude about what we are facing. For those people who have planets in fixed signs (Ta**us, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius), the last 2-3 years have been a growth period that was extremely difficult and painful. Fated events both good and bad may have happened, with expansive amounts of growth. You may not currently feel the effects of this growth, because you are too close emotionally to the events as they happened. With time, you will start to see the results and outcome of choices made during this time, even if they were not choices made by you. The good news is that that Saturn will only be transiting in Aquarius for a few more months. By March, Saturn will transition into Pisces and stay there for the majority of 2023. Saturn in Aquarius is not a positive placement for the United States, and Saturn in Pisces should at least slightly improve our country’s economic situation. For those encountering personal difficulties, continue to look for opportunities. There are always opportunities available, even if involves planning for the future instead of the immediate.

Tomorrow, January 17th, will bring us the full moon in Cancer. What does the Sun in Capricorn with the moon passing through Cancer mean? Among other things, Capricorn rules the government, structure and discipline, the Earth, bones, and teeth, while Cancer rules the mother, nurturing, homeland, the ocean/water, and emotions. The moon has no light of its own, and relies completely on rays from the Sun (as well as some minor rays from the Earth called Earthshine) to be illuminated. With this full moon, we will see tension in the Earth's tectonic plates causing issues with tsunamis and flooding. People may find themselves with more joint, bone, or tooth pain than usual--they may even grind their teeth more at this time. As people on Earth, we will also collectively feel a pull in two directions—one of needing to be comforted with what feels familiar (home, family, friends, comforting food and habits) and the other a feeling of restriction from outside sources such as our workplaces, people in positions of power, the government, personal responsibilities etc. No doubt there will be tension between trying to balance the two. Our advice: try to strike a healthy balance between what nourishes you and heals you with “adulting” and your workplace duties. This is a difficult energy this month, and juggling tasks will inevitably result in some balls being dropped. Choose the balls that are going to drop and make peace with it, and apply yourself wholeheartedly to the others that must stay in rotation. Make your choice and don’t apologize for whatever it is that you need. #

The year is coming to a close, and we at The Healing Home Astrology would like to thank our friends and supporters. Many of us lost family and friends this year, and it has been nothing short of devastating. Our hearts go out to all who have struggled with loss, health issues, break-ups, relocation, or unexpected life/work changes. We are with you. It can make people nervous to even want to ask what 2022 holds in store for us. But we need to ask. As 2022 surfaces on the horizon, what can we expect to see?

I could write a book about the energy and activity of 2022. I will certainly write more in the upcoming months, but with the astrological knowledge I have and the intuitive messages I have received, I can tell you that in 2022 we will see a year dominated by anything and everything related to Venus and the areas of life that are governed or ruled by Venus (both good and bad). Among other things, Venus rules our money and our physical comforts, cars, luxury goods and makeup, perfume, flowers/fruit, and females/women. It rules singing, creating art and artistic ability, the throat, thyroid, and people speaking their truth. It rules peace and harmony, and during the year when Venus is afflicted or in challenging aspect we will see and experience problems or challenges in these areas. We will also see people relocating, changing homes or living situations, and there will be specific needs concerning children and women's health.
In the United States in 2022 we will see tightened changes and regulations with the financial/banking industry as well as crypto currency. Money and anything related to property or investments will take center stage. It is advised that during this year you become clear with where you stand financially, and know exactly what your assets (and/or debt) are. Ask yourself if you or your significant other would know what to do if you or they needed access to these assets. If the answer is no, that finances are simply a blur, now is the time to create a solid plan for how you are to protect your assets and financial interests.

By the end of April/early May (activated by the first eclipse of the year on April 30th) there will be some type of significant regulation of how much, when, and where crypto currency can be used. There will be a higher demand for luxury goods, and an increase of people buying vehicles online rather than in person. Women will continue to use their voices and urge for accountability for people who have perpetrated and profited off sexual abuse and slavery. Sexual abuse and inequality will continue to be a strong issue in 2022, with a specific focus on the seedy underbelly of this behavior as it has been perpetrated in the United States.

I do not endorse politicians at all, but the astrology is showing that a female president is more than a possibility for the United States in 2022. VP Kamala Harris has two significant eclipses that will affect her for the entire year—one on April 30th and the other on October 25th. Although these eclipses may result in her taking over Presidential duties, I do not see her maintaining this position without difficulty or a shortened period of service. It will be interesting to see what happens.

2022 will be a year to surround yourself mentally and physically with what makes you feel peaceful. It is more important than ever to drown out the incessant noise that detracts from your energy and makes you feel less than who you are and who you were born to be. The human body and human race was born to be magnificent, and although there are injuries, indecision or setbacks, we will move forward. It is more important than ever not to shut out the people who care about you, and to seek community with nature, animals, and like-minded souls. We sincerely wish all the best for 2022. Thank you for letting us be in your life!!!

08/10/2021

The last few months have been challenging for most people, and the astrological configurations have been tense and difficult as well. We are currently passing through a retrograde period of FIVE planetary influences (Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune). The harmony and joy that usually accompanies the advent of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere feels empty and uncertain for a lot of people. There is still an inability to fully connect with other people on the physical and emotional level that we wish, and it is difficult to plan for the future when the future is so uncertain. Nothing feels as though it has the energy to move forward, because the planets are cycling in an energy that brings reflection and events of the past to the forefront. The momentum to move forward is in a stalemate with so many planets being in retrograde, and we feel it in our minds and current physical energy levels. With the Sun in Libra conjunct Mars we are feeling a sense of major instability in relationships or contracts that we have with other people. That is because the essential dignities of the planets are not in harmonious signs. The planet of Mars is seen as the soldier of the zodiac—wherever Mars is placed it wants to bring it’s warrior-like drive and energy. It is a planet of action and the ex*****on of plans. It is naturally more at home in a sign like Aries or Scorpio, but in its detriment in a placement like Libra. Libra is symbolic of balance, relationships, and contracts. Libra involves communication and negotiation. The planet of Mars by itself is not a planet of communication or negotiation—it’s martial energy can produce petty feelings of combativeness, verbal harshness, or a general feeling of frustration due to competition and not seeing eye to eye resulting in arguments, fighting, and communication breakdown.
The Mars and Sun in Libra energies can best be summarized in the positive sense by taking steps to actively pursue art and beauty in the world.
It can be difficult if not near impossible to find joy when times feel so bleak. Albert Camus was, among many things, a resistance writer and editor during WWII. He had originally volunteered to join the Army, but due to a past infection with tuberculosis he was denied service. Although there are bad translations to be found everywhere, Camus wrote a beautiful and inspiring quote that I wanted to share with you. In English it reads pretty close to “... in the midst of hate, I found there was within me an invincible love. In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile. In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm...in the midst of winter I found, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me there’s something stronger, better, pushing back.” There is no doubt that our world is living in the midst of chaos. For some people it is personal, for others it is for people they know and love. In these times—the times of great uncertainty, we must find our invincible summer, and cherish it.
