Dicen que hubo una película que marcó una época…
Una historia tan poderosa que solo un actor podía interpretarla: Frankie Rivers.
“La Toalla del Mojado” — la cinta que, según él, cambió el rumbo del cine mexicano… aunque nadie la haya visto jamás.

Era la historia de un hombre común, un soñador que cruzó más que una frontera: cruzó la línea entre la comedia y el drama.
Bajo la lluvia, con una toalla al hombro y el corazón empapado de esperanza, Frankie luchaba contra la adversidad… y contra el presupuesto de producción.

Algunos dicen que era una crítica social. Otros, que era una metáfora del alma mojada del mexicano que no se rinde.
Pero para Frankie Rivers… era su obra maestra.
Su legado.
Su eterna película perdida.

Y aunque “La Toalla del Mojado” nunca llegó al cine, en el corazón de los fans de Vecinos, ya es un clásico del cine que nunca existió.
