There are two polarities of selfhood, the limited ego anxiously identified with the perishing body and the timeless self, identified with the immortal Spirit. The purpose of life is to find one's spiritual self and unite with the divine infinite source of existence.
The personality we exhibit is caught in the net of our own delusions while God alone is real and dwells within unseen as we pass through the masks of time. Our ageless spirit is temporarily locked in an aging ever-changing physiology. As the heart beats, millions of cells are being born and are dying every second in our physical body, yet we retain our sense of moment to moment “I Am-ness." What is the nature of our mind and presence of being that allows us to experience Selfhood, a miraculous cognitive achievement of human evolution, a personal identity with unique character and perspective? As long as we identify with the body/mind in samsara we will suffer until finding the center of pure awareness, the eternal presence temporarily alive as us.

It's important for everyone to have an atmosphere of love and trust somewhere in their life. When you access the strength of peace, it becomes your "mustard seed of faith," and you can practice extending it beyond the body. If you can recognize love as the true "ground of Being," then love is not an aberration, or a collection of meaningless molecules bumping up against each other . . . love is the undying and underlying fabric of the universe. All displays of affection, love and care are coming from an infinite source. The manifest universe is an ornamental display projected from the seething oceanic boundless light of Love. May we not be blind to this light.
