Today, on her 158th birthday, we honor Marie Skłodowska Curie, whose pioneering research in radioactivity paved the way for the use of radiation therapy in cancer care and the development of nuclear energy. As the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only person awarded in two scientific fields, her legacy continues to inspire progress across science and medicine.
