Finally ready to share what I've been working on the past year. My new business Teach Beyond Yoga including an eBook! A forum for yoga teachers and educators to learn more about teaching, not just yoga.
As I moved along in my profession as both an educated school teacher and yoga teacher it became evident to me that many yoga teachers are missing some key knowledge about teaching in general. They know a lot about yoga, but not necessarily teaching. After taking my own 200 hr ytt, as well as teaching others while they look theirs, I discovered that most new teachers feel intimidated, insecure and not ready to go teach. I have also met teachers who even though having taught yoga for years still express missing some general knowledge about how to best teach another person something and attract new students. Especially when they want to educate other teachers in a training program.
So, the goal of Teach Beyond Yoga, and the material and eBook on the page, is to help new and experienced yoga teachers and educators gain great insight into the art of teaching which I have from my 4 year education and experience as a teacher. I'm hoping to help raise the standards in the yoga teacher profession, but mainly give other teachers some confidence, so they can love what they do and attract more students!
